Handmade borosilicate glass geode pendant mushroom shape with opal inside

Hello,

This unique glass geode pendant features a mushroom with a facet in its stem that reveals an opal inside. It was created from borosilicate glass, on a lampworking torch. Glass rods are heated and manipulated in a very hot flame and shaped using heat, tools and gravity. The glass is rolled in crushed glass (frit) to create the textured outer. Once cooled I ground the glass to reveal the opal inside then it is reheated to polish the facet.

The mushroom is hung on an adjustable brown cord and is presented in a recycled cardboard gift box, in a colourful Indian silk gift bag. Perfect for gifting to a friend or why not treat yourself!
